Father Mother Sister Brother

Father Mother Sister Brother is a wry, globe-spanning anthology from Jim Jarmusch, exploring the fragile ties between estranged family members. Across the United States, Dublin and Paris, three loosely connected stories follow parents, siblings and children circling one another through absence, memory and uneasy reunion. With an ensemble cast including Adam Driver, Cate Blanchett and Charlotte Rampling, the film blends dry humour with melancholy observation. Beneath its understated surface, it reflects on intimacy, performance and the small fictions families sustain to hold themselves together.

The Metropolitan Opera - Eugene Onegin

Following her acclaimed 2024 company debut in Puccini’s Madama Butterfly, soprano Asmik Grigorian returns to the Met as Tatiana, the lovestruck young heroine in this ardent operatic adaptation of Pushkin. Baritone Igor Golovatenko reprises his portrayal of the urbane Onegin, who realizes his affection for her all too late. The Met’s evocative production, directed by Tony Award winner Deborah Warner, “offers a beautifully detailed reading of … Tchaikovsky’s lyrical romance” (The Telegraph).
