The Playboy of the Western World, directed by Caitríona McLaughlin, is a darkly comic tale of identity, myth-making and desire. When a mysterious stranger arrives in a rural pub claiming he has killed his father, he becomes an unlikely local hero, captivating Pegeen Flaherty (Nicola Coughlan) and the surrounding community.
