Virginia Woolf's Night & Day

Adapted from the novel by Virginia Woolf, Night & Day is a witty and refreshingly unconventional period comedy set in London on the cusp of modernity. Katharine Hilbery is a talented astronomer with little interest in the traditional expectations of romance and marriage. As science, technology and social attitudes begin to reshape Edwardian society, she finds herself navigating questions of independence, ambition and personal freedom. Directed by Tina Gharavi and featuring a stellar ensemble cast including Haley Bennett, Jack Whitehall and Timothy Spall, this charming adaptation brings Woolf's sharp humour and keen social observation delightfully to life.

★★★★"A wayward, unworldly fantasia, a four-leaf clover of a film": The Guardian“Skittish, playful, light… with a spirited central performance”: The Times

★★★★ Cruz leads a star-studded cast in an uproarious comedy... very funny": The Times

“The funniest movie of the year”: The New York Post

What begins as a friendly dinner invitation soon becomes an evening of uncomfortable truths in The Invite, a sharp and sophisticated comedy directed by Olivia Wilde. Starring Wilde alongside Seth Rogen, Penélope Cruz and Edward Norton, the film explores the messy realities of modern relationships, desire and commitment. Adapted from the acclaimed Spanish comedy The People Upstairs, this witty ensemble piece balances laugh-out-loud humour with moments of surprising honesty. Acclaimed by critics for its intelligence and insight, it is a smart, grown-up comedy with plenty to say about love, sex and the secrets we keep.
