The Runner

A routine morning run becomes a desperate race across London when high-powered prosecutor Maia Marten receives a terrifying phone call: her young son has been kidnapped. His captor has hacked her phone, is watching her every move and gives her just one hour to reach a protected witness in a major criminal trial. If she refuses to follow his increasingly dangerous instructions, her son will die. Gal Gadot stars alongside Damian Lewis in Kevin Macdonald’s breathless action thriller, filmed on the streets of London and unfolding against the clock as Maia is forced to run, improvise and decide just how far she will go to save her child.

"A brisk, entertaining thriller": IMDb

Madness: Take it or Leave It

★★★★ "Unexpectedly revealing, vividly atmospheric, often funny and alarming, docufictional comedy": The Guardian

Before the hits, the videos and the baggy trousers came rehearsals, rows, line-up changes and the struggle to get noticed. Made in 1981, Madness: Take It or Leave It sees Suggs and the rest of the band playing themselves as they recreate their journey from a group of Camden mates to the brink of pop stardom. Shot in the streets, pubs and clubs where it all happened, Dave Robinson’s unconventional mix of mockumentary, comedy and kitchen-sink realism captures both the chaos of forming a band and a vanished North London. Newly restored in 4K, it’s a funny, scruffy and wonderfully distinctive British pop time capsule.

Fallen Angels

★★★★★ "Byrne and O’Hara are comic gems in a pitch-perfect revival that sparkles like champagne": The GuardianSparkling, dizzying, and deliciously potent, Fallen Angels, Noël Coward’s champagne-fresh comedy of bad manners, shocked and delighted audiences at its 1925 premiere. Two upper-class wives, their husbands away for the day, share a few toasts to their pre-marital dalliances—with the same man, who just may be en route from France to visit. Old rivalries and past scandals bubble to the surface in this intoxicating romp from one of theatre’s comedy masters.
